OUR SCHOOLS
Johnson City Central School District LPP
The Johnson City Central School District serves a diverse community of around 3,000 students, spanning one high school, one middle school, and one elementary school.
A standout feature of the Johnson City LPP is its student-led approach. Students play an active role in shaping the program, which has helped to create an environment where students feel heard and valued. The high school program also emphasizes "empathy in action," offering workshops that help students develop emotional awareness and sensitivity toward others.
With its focus on student leadership and emotional well-being, the Johnson City Central School District LPP creates a supportive space where students can grow both academically and personally.
Johnson City High School
The Johnson City High School LPP has a Licensed Social Worker on staff to provide comprehensive support to the students, focusing on their social-emotional well-being and overall success. Aligning with social-emotional learning (SEL), the team offers individual and group support sessions to help students navigate challenges, build resilience, and develop essential life skills.
They also assist with critical milestones, such as the college application process, securing financial aid, and planning for post-graduation opportunities — ensuring every student is prepared for whatever they choose to do in life. The goal of the JCHS LPP is to empower students, and give them the tools they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally during their high school journey and beyond.
Johnson City Middle School
The Liberty Partnership Program at Johnson City Middle School emphasizes academic success, personal growth, and future planning. The program brings guest speakers from various careers to inspire students and expose them to diverse professional pathways.
Students participate in college tours to gain firsthand experience of campus life. They also engage in meaningful community service projects, fostering leadership skills and a sense of civic responsibility.
