Senior Showcase:  Susquehanna Valley High School

As the end of the school year approaches, our senior Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP) students at Susquehanna Valley High School are preparing to embark on exciting new chapters in their lives. Whether they are moving on to college, entering the workforce, or joining the military, these outstanding individuals are ready to make their mark on the world. Here’s an update on the seniors of Susquehanna Valley High School as they embark on their next journey:

This year, 25 seniors from Susquehanna Valley High School will be graduating from the Liberty Partnerships Program. Among them is Hayden Fedorwich, who ranks in the Top 20 of her class and will be attending Alfred University in the fall. Hayden will major in Psychology and minor in Education, having earned the prestigious Alfred University Scholar Award ($120,000). She will also be joining the cheer team for the Saxons, showcasing her spirit and dedication.

Our seniors are set to further their education at esteemed institutions such as the University at Albany, Geneva College, Alfred University, SUNY Broome, and Finger Lakes Community College. This diverse array of colleges reflects the broad range of interests and ambitions nurtured through the Liberty Partnerships Program.

At graduation, our seniors will proudly wear green and white tassels, symbolizing their commitment to LPP. These tassels also mark their entrance into the LPP Alumni Network, a community where they can continue to find support and inspiration as they navigate their future endeavors.

On June 10th, Senior Awards Night celebrated the achievements of our students, with four seniors receiving scholarships related to LPP. Angelena Mead was awarded the Dr. Lee Scholarship, Gianna Palmer and Hunter Cox received the Kasmarcik Family Scholarship, and Brooklyn Moss was honored with the Sherry Babcock Nursing Scholarship. These scholarships recognize students who have demonstrated exceptional resilience and determination, qualities that are at the core of the Liberty Partnerships approach.

These scholarship recipients have been active members of LPP for years, participating in numerous LPP-sponsored events, particularly those focused on community service. Their scholarship essays, which detailed their experiences overcoming obstacles, were a testament to their perseverance and growth. Each essay expressed heartfelt gratitude for the role LPP played in their success, highlighting the program’s impact on their personal and academic development.

The Liberty Partnerships Program is dedicated to fostering academic success, personal growth, and a strong sense of community. By providing comprehensive support and encouragement, we empower our students to achieve their full potential and make meaningful contributions to society. As these seniors step into the world, they carry with them the values and skills cultivated through LPP, ready to create a brighter future for themselves and others.
