Carlos
BHS LPP is proud to spotlight Carlos Martinez! Carlos is a dedicated and hardworking student in the Auto Technician Program at BOCES, and his commitment to learning has led to an incredible opportunity—he has been hired at Big E Tires and starts his new position next week!
Carlos consistently goes above and beyond, not only in honing his technical skills but also in demonstrating a strong work ethic and determination. He is focused on his career goals and truly embodies the value of perseverance.
We are excited to see all the amazing things ahead for Carlos in the auto industry and can’t wait to watch his journey unfold! Congratulations, Carlos!

Virgil
Chenango Forks Liberty Partnership student Virgil Sehn recently lent their artistic talents to the community by creating a stunning window mural for the new Forks Food Center. When Binghamton University Community Schools invited Liberty Partnerships to collaborate on a piece of artwork for the space, Virgil was the first person that came to mind! Their creativity and talent continue to inspire those around them.
Virgil dedicated several days to designing the image before taking on the unique challenge of painting it in reverse on the window—a new skill they embraced with enthusiasm. Despite their busy academic schedule, they made time to give back to the community while also expanding their artistic portfolio.
As graduation approaches, Virgil is preparing applications for some of the nation’s top art schools, and this project adds another dynamic piece to their growing body of work.
Chenango Forks Liberty Partnerships is incredibly proud of you, Virgil! Keep creating and inspiring!

SV LPP is excited to spotlight Macadia Heavey! Macadia is a junior at SVHS and is also enrolled in the Broome-Tioga BOCES Electricity program. This past week, Macadia competed in the Regional SkillsUSA conference. She took 3rd overall in the Electrical Construction Wiring category.
Macadia has been in the Liberty Partnerships Program for the past 4 years. She is hardworking and determined to reach her goals. Besides being a leader at BOCES through the SkillsUSA program, she is also a high honor roll student and an active member in LPP. Through LPP, she has participated in community service events and was a teen counselor this summer for the Liberty Partnerships Summer Camp. She is extremely responsible and always focusing on preparing herself to accomplish her future goals.
Keep up the hard work Macadia! We are proud of you!
