Reflecting on the 2022-2023 Outcomes of LPP

The Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP) at Binghamton University, as part of a statewide network of 51 projects, has consistently demonstrated significant positive outcomes in preventing student dropout since its establishment in 1988. This blog will delve into the latest statewide outcomes report for the 2022-2023 academic year, highlighting the remarkable achievements of LPP students across New York.

The report showcases an impressive graduation rate of 89% for Grade 12 LPP students, a testament to the program's effectiveness in guiding students towards completing their education. The variety of services offered by LPP, tailored to meet students' social-emotional learning needs, has been pivotal in improving high school graduation rates and preparing students for postsecondary education and the workforce.

Moreover, the demographic data reveal the diversity of the student population served by the program, with significant representations across different racial and ethnic groups. This diversity underscores the program's commitment to ensuring equity of access to all students, particularly those from underserved communities.

The outcomes also reflect on the most common reasons students were referred to the LPP, including unsatisfactory academic performance and inconsistent school attendance, highlighting the program's critical role in addressing these issues.

As we celebrate these achievements, this blog also serves as a reminder of the ongoing challenges and the essential work of the Liberty Partnerships Program in shaping brighter futures for New York's youth. The dedication of educators, students, and all stakeholders continues to drive the success of the LPP, making a significant impact in the lives of many students and their communities.
